ABC News and other media are reporting that President Donald Trump will pardon Scooter Libby, the advisor to former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Libby was charged and convicted for lying to the FBI during an investigation into a leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame. Plame, a covert agent, had denied Libya was a source to Iraq for nuclear materials. President George W. Bush commuted Libby’s sentence, but left the conviction in place.
